Tree Services:

Tree Takedown with Stump Cut Low

This would consist of a full take down of the said tree and leaving the stump cut as low as reasonably possible without damage to our equipment. This would include the logs and chips removed from the premises unless other instructions are noted on the proposal.

Tree Takedown with Stump Grinding

Same as above except in this case the stump of the tree will be ground approximately 12 inches below the surface. Surface roots within 3ft of the stump will also be ground. All grinds will be backfilled into the hole where the tree used to be. There may be a mound of chips depending on the size of the stump.

All Wood to Remain on Premises (No Clean-up)

When this is requested, all of the larger tree sections will be left on site in uncut lengths. You can request the logs to be relocated to a specific location on the property. We still assume to haul and dispose of the wood chips from the job unless it is noted on the estimate.

Logs to be Cut to Firewood Length

When the customer opts for wood to be cut into firewood lengths, the logs will be cut into approximately 18” pieces. They will still be in round form. This does not mean split and fireplace ready. You will still have to split and season the wood.

Stump Grinding

One of the biggest aspects of a tree removal job is stump removal. When safe removal of your tree or trees is completed, we can provide you with our stump grinding service. Removing the tree from your residential or commercial property is typically only part of the overall tree removal project. Stump grinding is the act of removing a stump by mechanically grinding and chipping up the remnants. Stump grinding is the common term that tree care service professionals use when referencing removing a stump. It is also called stump removal. Our full service tree removal company is fully equipped to remove the stump.

Pruning should only be done with a specific purpose in mind. Every cut is a wound, and every leaf lost is removal of some photosynthetic potential. Proper pruning can be helpful in many ways, but should always be done with the minimum amount of live tissue removed.

Crown Thinning or Cleaning

The selective removal of one of the following items: dead, dying, or diseased branches, weak branches and water sprouts. (sometimes referred to as sucker growth).

Crown Raising or Elevating

The removal of the lower branches to provide clearance from the ground or structure.

Crown Reduction or Shaping

To decrease the actual height or spread of a tree. (Consideration should be given to the ability of the species of the tree to sustain this type of pruning)

Hazardous Reduction Pruning (HRP)

To remove only branches that are decayed or declining, and are posing imminent danger. An example may be a tree with many dead branches over a park bench.

Limbing refers to raising the canopy of a tree, removing limbs from the lower portion for the purpose of allowing in more light and making the space more open. It also refers to targeted removal of dead or problem limbs which is often necessary when large, overhanging branches become harzardous to buildings, structures, power lines, or people.

Unfortunately, the usual climbing method which involves sticking a spiked boot attachment, called a gaff, into either side of the tree to support the weight of the climber inflicts many wounds on the tree. In this type of service it is preferred to use a gaffless climbing method, a ladder, or a pruning pole where possible to reach these limbs without harming the trunk.

Windsail Reduction

Windsail reduction is a preventative tree care service that works to reduce wind resistance in a tree’s canopy. By selectively removing it's foliage, thereby reducing the chances of it blowing over in strong winds. A typical windsail reduction entails the removal of up to one third of the canopy from the tree by taking off every third branch, on average, from bottom to top. This includes dead or broken branches and duplicates.

View/Land Clearing

Our services can be beneficial to a wide range of customers such as real estate developers, real estate agents and property owners. Having a lot for sale or for development can add immense value by having it cleaned up and selectively cleared. Stripped and bare land is just as unappealing to most people as densely wooded and overgrown land, however almost universally people find park-like wooded areas more attractive to look at and ultimately to buy.

We can clear your lot/acreage quickly and cleanly, preparing it for sale or construction. We go the extra step in removing all stumps in and around your building perimeter to ensure that you have no additional costs in pulling your stumps out later when the foundation is under construction.

Pulling the stumps also eliminates potential breeding grounds for termites. Our chippers turn your unwanted trees into landscape grade chips.
